Oculoplastics

Oculoplastics

Ectropion (an outward rolling eyelid) and entropion (inward rolling eyelid) are common disorders. As well as the cosmetic implications, these conditions are often associated with ocular discomfort and recurrent infections. In some cases they can lead to ocular exposure, ulceration and even corneal scarring. Ectropion and entropion, as well as ptosis (drooping of the upper lid) and other eyelid disorders such as lid lesions/tumours and epiphora (watery eye), are managed at the Institute of Eye Surgery.
