Laura Tynan

Laura is an Clinical Nurse Specialist. She has a BSc (Nursing) Degree from UCD and a certificate in Physiology and Health Science from C.I.T. Laura began her career with Professor Beatty and other consultant specialists in 2005 and was involved in the move to Whitfield Clinic in 2008. She has worked with a number of ophthalmic consultants with individual sub-speciality interests over the past 9 years.  She has been involved in ongoing training in Ireland and abroad in order to keep up with the rapid changes and improvements in technology and practice within her current post.

Laura is a co-author of 3 research papers which were carried out in the clinical setting, as outlined below:

Outside of her working hours, Laura has also been involved in collation of research data for a number of projects sponsored by pharmaceutical companies. The data she collected for these companies over a 5 year period was used to assess the safety and efficacy of specific AMD treatment regimes.
