Mr. Pat Hayes has his primary degree from NUI University College Dublin in 1973 and subsequently studied at the Royal College of Surgeons, Ireland. Pat has held Post Graduate appointments at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London, the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading, along with a number of posts in Ireland. From 1984 to 2010 Mr. Hayes was a consultant eye surgeon in Waterford Regional Hospital.
His research interests include Medical Retina examinations. And he specialises in Cataract Surgery (Micro-incision implant surgery) Glaucoma treatment and surgery: Medical Retina(Macular Degeneration, Diabetic Eye Disease, Retinal Vein Occlusion, Retinal Holes including Argon Laser and Intravitreal Injections. Full Investigative/Diagnostic Equipment (Fluorescein Angiography, Optical Coherence Tomography, Ocular A-Scan Ultrasound Eyelid Plastic Surgery (Tumours, Cysts etc)
Pat is a member of the Irish College of Ophthalmologists and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
