Career: Graduated for University College Dublin School of Medicine in 2001 with an honours degree. Awarded an MSc (hons) 2003 by UCD with research on retinal vascularisation. Carried out basic and higher level surgical training in ophthalmology through the Irish College of Ophthalmology. Published over 50 peer review papers and book chapters.
