Dr Giulia Filippello is a Consultant Ophthalmologist and Oculoplastic Surgeon. She completed her Specialisation in Ophthalmology at the University of Catania, Italy, followed by advanced international training in oculoplastic, orbital and lacrimal surgery.

She completed an Oculoplastic Fellowship at the Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle upon Tyne (UK), and previously undertook a Fellowship in Cataract and Oculoplastic Surgery at MN Eye Hospital, Chennai (India). Her surgical training includes experience in eyelid, lacrimal, orbital and cataract surgery, as well as multiple international surgical training programmes across Europe and Asia, including endoscopic temporal lift, endoscopic laser dacryocystorhinostomy and orbital surgery.

She is currently Consultant Oculoplastic Surgeon with the IOES Group in Ireland, where she also serves as Director of Oculoplastics at both the Waterford and Cork clinics. In addition, she works in private practice in Catania, Rome and Milan. She is actively involved in clinical research and clinical trials.
